Bump!

Needed some center caps for my wheels. The Ls mesh center caps supaDave gave me fit perfect..... but looked little rough. heres some cell phone pics..

before pic right after taking off Acura logo

re-worked the cap and hit up Importusa for stickers.

more pics to come

I removed the paint off my rims yesterday and this morning.

I've got a few cell phone pics and a few cheap digital camera pics.

Before pics (the way the rims came when I bought them)

During pics:
Underneath the black was a dark bronze color

Underneat the bronze was a little bit of silver

Underneath the silver was a layer of clear coat

Finished results

I still have a couple tiny spots to get, but for the most part they turned out really good.

After I get the last few specs off, then I'm going to polish them and hopefully they will shine like these

I'll have more pics up when I'm finished

What exactly did you do to those center caps? They look nice

Thanks. Did pretty much the same steps into polishing a wheel.

Btw your wheels are looking alot better. They look really clean overall with no curb rash or gashes. Good canidates for wheel polishing

You Def need to do the center cap re-storation

. Yeah they look a million times better, especially in person. I ended up doing 4 coats of aircraft remover to get them down to bare metal. I think I spent 3 hours at the car wash haha. I might end up rockin them like this for a while before I polish them, we'll see what happens.

PS. Those center caps look nice, I may to try that out

stripped off some bronze paint and the oem white off this 96 itR wheel. would really like to own them myself. they are for sale. someone should scoop these up, get them powedercoated white and then buy nate2k's itr 4x114 setup dirtcheap

just hit these with stripper and wiped them down. could polish out real easy. imo they should be restored back to white.

havent put any work on these lately. the face needs detailed. first pic I took with the center caps installed.

cell pics for now. better to come when I meet up with someone that brings out their nice camera
