Default Sub wiring

I have a 2 channel amp thats rated at 550 watts rms per channel at 2ohms...

then i have a dvc sub thats 2 ohms per side

running the 2 channel amp 1 channel to one side of sub, and other channel to the other side, will run the setup at 2 ohms to get the most power out of the amp correct?

well, you can blow your sub alot easier that way. lets say a spike or drop occurs in one channel of your amp..that can cause damagae to that individual voice coil. if its just a single sub i would just wire it to 4 ohm and bridge your amp..thats just my .02

just because its bridgeable doesnt mean its stable when its bridged, this amp so happens to not be stable when bridged....

i agree with dude above just casue it is bridgeable doesnt make it the best thing to do. if you only have one coil of the sub maintaing power that it will burn that coil up FAST. speaking from personal experience if you got two coils hook um both up
