We've got the 550's installed and new clips wired in, SAFC II installed, new wiring ran for the Walbro fuel pump, fuel tank dropped (waiting for new fuel hat), getting ready to take off the front bumper and install the new intercooler, then fab-up the new piping! It's coming along very well!

Well had the day off today so decided to do some work on the supra. Started with taking off all the pre 89 moldings so the 89+ moldings can go on.

Drivers door has alot of rust under the molding.


Since drivers door is so rusty i decided to just get a different door. This is the new door i got thanks to nick88!!! still need to change the exterior and interior door handle and the lock switch so they match my interior.


i pulled the molding off the passenger door and noticed some surface rust around the holes for the molding. decided that i could live this and just sand it off and repaint. this is all the rust sanded down to bare metal.


This is after everything was rust treated and all the old 3m tape and glue was removed. Leaving it to dry over night and tomorrow ill start the prep work to repaint the area under where the molding sits.


working on the moldings i noticed there were small rust spots around the fuel door so i decided i would take care of these before they got worse. this is after it was sanded down to bare metal and rust treated.


i also decided that the rear right molding with TOYOTA SUPRA was not what i wanted. the white for the letters was fading and flaking off. decided that frost white would look pretty good to repaint the lettering. this is a picture of what it looked like before. still working on painting it but its looking alot better.

You get that window out yet? I think I am going to put them in my car. and get the back redone with 5% tint this summer, but no windshield this time.

Ight no problem.

And it felt good to ride in modded supra for the first time since I put my car away, and that is a feeling I miss, the wastegate opening, boosting and the sound of a bov, just something I doubt I will ever find in any other kind of car.
