Default my turbo set up

ok so it all started this past winter when i spun a rod in my d16y7
i was goin to just rebuild it and leave it for now..... but then i found a hella deal on eagle h beams and spr 8.5 to 1 cr brand new . when bored the motor 20 over . around this some time i found this sitecalled homemadeturbo.com.... so i slowy bought parts and what not .frist some dsm 450's and a ihi rhb5 turbo (samll but should be making boost around 2000 rpm) then i got a t3 manifold i had a place here in town make a plate to fit the two.
then this past week i bought charge pipes ...
the only things left are oil lines ,bov ,255 fule pump, chiped obd1 and apt harness and then a good tune

oh by the way im only 17 still in high school doin this all on MY money not mommy and dads. so its been taking me some time.

just thought i would add something new to this part of the forum and from the looks of that last bbq meet there were alot more turbo cars then people are talking about on here?
thanks for reading my long pointless post lol chris

i was reading (probably on facebook so it's probably not true) that Ds can handle up to 600hp no problem

thats not true, on hondatunning the had a article wen they had to do massive work to the block and head to even handle 400whp..so 600hp would b crazy on a D(but i would give mad props to who ever dose it)

That power is easily achivable with a sleeved block, head work, nice kit and good tuning.

But why build a D when you could build a larger motor and accomplish more, doesnt make sense to me!

hahaha you couldnt be more wrong my friend, dont get me wrong im not try'n to attack you here but you should have left it at you were a N/A guy.

http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l1...nt=Sikdyno.flv
http://videos.streetfire.net/video/f...6500648401.htm
this is the first guys setup
just for reference my setup is this
stock z6 head
stock z6 intake manifold
y8 block with VITARA's and eagle rods, other wise stock
drag manifold
t3/t4 57 trim .60/.63 about 25psi
3" open downpipe
street tuned on cromePro by me Afro

im extremely stoked on these numbers, i never expected it to be over 400whp...it suprised the hell out of me because im still on teh stock head and stock intake manifold...oh and the shitty drag manifold, cant believe i got 400 hp out of that too!!! and for the haters these vitaras ROCK! FJT informed me that this IS a new record for the most horespower made on these pistons...and for those that say it wont last....its been boosted and running 20+psi daily for the last 9 months

the second video is also done on a stock sleeve d16y8, with vitaras and 250 dollar tt rods and a rebuild ( bearings, rings, hone, balancing ) for 500 bucks into the motor and around 2000 for a nice turbo kit and tune 10's are def possible and 400whp has been done buy alot of people on stock sleeve stock head sohc's

granted the kid that posted this question is only 17 but with the help of local dsm gear heads helping him put his money in the right spots you can def have a 400 hp car with some saved up money and alot of research

honda tunning is gay except the grass roots shit and bambrose articles
